Consequences of a Raised Minimum Wage

What results by establishing and/or raising of minimum wage?  It is a perfect example of a noble intent that is hurting the very people it is trying to help.  Simply stated, the minimum wage law is raising the barrier of entry into the job market to the unskilled labor.

In other words, the minimum wage law says: do not give jobs to workers whose skills are not good enough to justify the minimum wage.  And raising it even further only exacerbates the problem.
